Road Blocks

This last Sunday as part of the ‘Dare To Dream’ series at Mavuno, I spoke about how to guard your vision when you face the inevitable opposition. Here are a couple of quotes for any dreamers out there who are facing some road blocks on their journey to purpose!

  1. True that.

Got one you could add to those, It’s by Myles Monroe, I paraphrase:

Ordinary people do extraordinary things because circumstances made a demand on their potential.

    Thanks for the quotes.

  2. To our ordinary passie:-) doing SUPER extraordinary stuff! Yaani God bless you sana! You have no idea the transformation that is happening to the ordinary Mavunite under your leadership! I pray that God will continue to fill your cup. Mob blessings to you!

  3. Thanks @ ukwelii and kisa.

Here’s another quote I found about Nehemiah that I think is rather cool…

There has always been a true elite of God’s leaders. They are the meek who inherit the earth (Mat.5:5). They weep and pray in secret, and defy earth and hell in public. They tremble when faced with danger, but die in their tracks sooner than turn back. They are like a shepherd defending his sheep or a mother protecting her young. They sacrifice without grumbling, give without calculating, suffer without groaning. [They live to see those under their charge succeed] They are the salt of the earth. And Nehemiah was one of them.

  4. great quotes. i love this one by Andy Andrews

“How long must a child try to walk before he actually does so? Do I not have more strength than a child? More understanding? More desire? How long must I work to succeed before I actually do so? A child would never ask that question, for the answer does not matter. By persisting without exception, my outcome-my success-is assured. I will persist without exception. I focus on results.”

  5. whoa! big God bless you to you Pastor M. You have brought life into the lives of many by allowing to be used by God. nutcase that was extremely powerful on persistence.

I do believe at mavuno our quest for greatness will not be for the pleasure of many but as you say passie ‘in the end, we win’ because he won at the cross
